A sister's obsession

[SPOILERS]
The series initially starts with Rosiel (at left) being obsessive about getting his sister's love and verbal confirmation of his "beauty", but in a subliminal way, as the series progresses the reader can see that all Alexiel (at right) as done and suffered through, it's been for her brother's safety. An intriguing character, she strikes a deal with God to keep Rosiel alive, but at the cost of never being able to show a moment of her love for him, much less any sign of emotion.

To me, this shows her own strange devotion - and even obsession - for her twin, even when she knows her efforts are useless, his mind having deteriorated beyond salvage.
