Preview of the Adolescence of Utena shoot at Fanime 2012~

This shoot. I swear it was a dream come true.

It was arranged by ~elber-chi to shoot in the San Jose Rose Gardens, and we ended up dropping and adding members, arriving in 4 groups in 4 cars, and fearing getting kicked out by volunteers. Instead, everything went so smoothly that it was as if it was a sign that this shoot was MEANT to be.
I asked *Mostflogged to be my Shiori because I couldn't think of a more talented and witty friend to portray this cuntbag. And she agreed when I offered to purchase and style the wig. Needless to say, she's a perfect Shiori, I could never hope to be this lucky.

Juri was made with relative speed and quality that surprised even me - the jacket was patterned and tailored by me out of orange amaretto and outlined in red bias tape. The epaulettes are gold lame, craft foam, fun foam, and trim. The wig was why I originally agreed to make the costume, it's a gorgeous lace front from Arda Wig that I styled using latex glue, toilet paper rolls, a lot of blow drying, and styling gel. ~jetspectacular saved the day by lending me white pants. <3
