Ms Marvel - A.I.M. and fire by etaru Ms Marvel - A.I.M. and fire by etaru
New costume from Sakuracon~ Ms Marvel from Avengers, based on the Kotobukiya figure by Shunya Yamashita.

I had matte vinyl spandex that wouldn't have worked for Magik and needed to make use of it, so Ms Marvel came to mind because I've wanted to make her for a while anyway. Whole costume was patterned by me, bodysuit was given french princess seams and the 4 way stretch lightning bolt was reverse-applique'd, sash is equestrian lycra. I wanted to avoid using heels for the boot covers because she wears flats in the reference art, but flats rarely look good with a leotard (at least on me) so I met it halfway using wedge booties.
I've never had more emotional frustration with a costume than this, probably because I only had 3 evenings to finish it. I have plans to remake or fixing half the costume before it's worn again... I love Carol Danvers and would be heartbroken to not do my very best to give her justice!

** I had a few questions at con about my lipstick - it's a red lipstain from Maybelline with a topcoat of LimeCrime's Candy Apple Carousel Gloss [link] (it sparkles in the light!)

I like your outfit, but you need boots with it, because in the comicbooks Ms. Marvel wears boots sometimes with heels, sometimes with heels that are fill in, in the middle. But that being said, you do her your way!!!! I still want to be your friend, so will you be me friend?

This costume has wedge boots, you simply cannot see it from the angle.

OK! I take your word for it, but I think thigh boots, like she wears in the comicbooks, is the best way to go!!!! But more importantly than that, I want us to be friends, even if the next time you do Ms. Marvel she is barefoot!!!! Being my friend means 1,000% more to me!!!!!! So can we be friends?

I made her based on this version:… , so I'm not sure what you mean by "thigh boots" but I took the artistic liberty of making the costume how I felt it would look best, and be most comfortable to wear for extended hours at conventions.

Ok! But the #1 thing I am asking, is can we be friends?

Over the internet without ever having met? Not sure how that works.

We just talk over the internet, it will be like talking over the phone, or writing letters though the mail. I would love to meet face to face someday! Have you ever been to ComicCom in Charlotte NC? Maybe someday you will, if so I live in a small town in South Carolina, call Lancaster. It is only 42 miles south of Charlotte. We could meet there, it's in June every year. That is the biggest comicbook show in North Carolina or South Carolina, I think that Atlanta Georgia has a show? I know a guy who owns a comicbook store, who go to a big show each year in Florida every year in May I think?

I'm sorry, I simply don't have the time for an online pen-pal with all that I have going on, I have to decline. I've never been to the Carolina's, but if I ever find myself there, I'll make an announcement.
Best wishes.
