To the Moon by etaru To the Moon by etaru
Since Yunie is uploading, guess I can in my spare time at the tournament here in Oregon. Looks like we'll beat all teams for a consecutive 20th year with the Northwest Conference Forensics Championship!! :D

This photo looked so much like the last scene before they leave to the moon, when Rydia and Rosa refuse to turn away their help to Cecil in the final battle. Determination ftw!

Yes, I remember that scene, nice work on the costumes- right out of FFIV/FFII american. I still have that game for the SNES and still play it, I can beat it all from memory and get all the items, including the Spoon, gotta love 9999 damage!

Congrats on the championship (well assuming you did win as you think you were on the way to) :) I didn't know they had Forensics Championships but then again when I was younger I was in competition for First Aid so anything can be done that way I'm sure :D

Still think your outfit is great, so is Yunie's :) No big description, sorry hehe

No no, not medical forensics science...speech and debate! XD If you google the definition of "forensics", the first result that comes up will be debate, I guarantee it lol

And congrats on winning, yay for you and your motley crew hehe.

Sometimes I wonder how women can go into combat and come out without ruining their outfits as pretty as yours...

...then I watch House of Flying daggers (ok, close enough, right? ^^; )

Incredible work. Think the material used for the green dress can be used for a lining?

Reason why I ask is because I have this coat that doesn't have a lining.

Couldn't say, I didn't make her bodysuit nor the corset.

Though probably, you don't want to use a spandex material for coat lining, use something like an actual satin-like lining fabric you can find at JoAnn's. Most cottons wouldn't work properly on heavy coats because you'll have trouble slipping them on. But again, I'm no expert.

Satin sounds nice. Certainly better than the cheap thin stuff that I've seen.

I'm talking about the stuff that sells for a dollar a yard.

Anyway, the coat that I have that could use a lining is this: [link]

Nah, it was this really cheap synthetic stuff. They told me it was "lining material" really thin and rather slick to the touch.

The cheap synthetic lining isn't bad. My green skirt piece is made of taffeta, so it is an option, but it sheds EVERYWHERE and has to be ironed like mad.

It's not just the lining that I'd like to add into this coat. But something warm for those days when it's really cold.

On the other hand, something nice if it can be done is a "removable lining".

I've seen removable linings done on some winter coats, but honestly have no idea how to go about it. : / My brain isn't that advanced, lol. XD

Something warm to go in... and work as a lining... I'm currently working with stretch satin. It's thick, warm, and easy to work with. :D Might be an idea!
